This comparative study on the individual performance appraisal systems in the EU member states, the European Commission and associated countries comes 10 years after the review of the performance appraisal under the German EU Presidency in 2007 (Demmke 2007). At that time, countries were implementing the new system or revising the old one based on the new reform frameworks of attaching performance appraisal to career advancements and remuneration.
